Service Oriented Architecture Training @ SEI

Posted on 08/01/2010. Filed under: Enterprise Architecture, SOA |

Service-oriented architecture (SOA) is here to stay and require training!

Service-oriented architecture is both a strategy and a technology.

  • Technology because you are mostly using web services with XML. The interfaces are very specific while SOAP define the communication protocol.
  • Strategy since it is a strategic initiative from business to use functionality outside the organization to meet specific business requirements. The business thereby “outsource” specific functional requirements to the cloud or other service provider.

Simple benefits:

  • Foster specialization at a functional level within the business community.
  • Improved business agility in adopting new services

Software Engineering Institute is presenting training on Service-Oriented Architecture at this link.
