Marketing EA’s Value

I faced the challenge of marketing Enterprise Architecture’s (EA’s) value a couple of months ago when I met up with a new client.

The knowledgeable gents at Forrester Research tackled this topic and released a document which you can read here.

Although it dates back to January 2006, I believe it still contains valuable information for most CIO’s, CTO’s and Enterprise Architects.

Since EA is a strategic initiative it is very difficult to demonstrate ROI for the client without spending some time (and money) with the client.

What counted in my favour was the fact that the COO were familiar with EA.

I presented how EA fits in the organization and where EA will contribute. (That clinched it.)
